ASPIRA’s Television Studio was created in 2001 and is located at our main office in Newark, New Jersey. This after-school enrichment program teaches youth the fundamentals of filmmaking and media literacy through hands-on training in video production (including production roles and responsibilities), directing, stage production, scriptwriting, filming, lighting effects and digital editing. All youth have opportunities to act as Directors, Producers, Actors and Crews. They also have opportunities to experiment with camera functions, lighting and sound to see what works best for their video production.
